Motorcar Parts of America (MPA) manufactures private label starters and alternators for “Big Box” automotive retailers nationwide, including Auto Zone, O’Reilly and others. MPA wanted to create an educational piece for these retail employees that explains the correct way to handle starter or alternator sales at the counter. The main issue is that oftentimes a new part is sold when something else is causing the customer’s problem—resulting in unsatisfied customers and a high rate of returns.

To ensure the piece was actually read by the retail employees, we created it as a comic book that was distributed to the stores, which educated the employees in a fun and entertaining way.
